You would not guess this is the first book the author wrote. I enjoyed the book very much. It was a departure from the mysteries/thrillers I normally read. There really isn't the black and white one normally sees in crime stories. In this case there are many shades of gray. I felt empathy for the murderers... And the reason is that as a nurse I have seen incredible human suffering. Helping somebody to end it all may not be legal yet. On the other hand, many things are legal, but morally reprehensible. Intense empathy is not immoral. Nuff said.

bad written
Quite well-written,but suffered from one rather implausible plot twist. Characterisation was ok for the two detectives ,but weaker for the detectives family.
Gut geschrieben und unterhaltsam. Freue mich schon auf den nächsten Krimi von diesem Autor. Vielleicht könnte ja auch Wolfsburg und seine Geschichte eine Rolle spielen?
enjoyed it very much. it not only had all the right ingredients for a crime thriller but it covered complex and thought provoking issues and the grey areas of right and wrong. Also the complex relationships that can find people to their co-workers as closely as to family.

Who has not thought about assisted suicide, it is in the news over and over. This fast paced thriller explores the people assisting, those seeking assistance and finally those that have to do understand what has happened from a police perspective. Good book, good topic, great characters.
Der Krime war spannend und auch die Darstellung von aktiver Sterbehilfe war interessant. Ich denke das ich von diesem Schriftsteller noch weiteres lesen werde.
